MMIA Agency in China, made  a beautifully designed video for Central China Television. The idea was to remake China’s history, for that, they would use the traditional “ink-and-wash” technique, which was developed in ancient China. This technique renders a dreamlike image. To get the final effects of the video, MMIA went to the Paris/German based production company Troublemakers.tv and the german director Niko Tziopanos of weareflink. The end result is one of the most beautiful videos I’ve ever seen, bringing this ancient painting technique to life.

A agência chinesa MMIA criou o belíssimo vídeo para a Central China Television. A idéia era de recriar a história chinesa, e para tal, utilizaríam uam antiga técnica chinesa de aquerela, que resulta em imagens que lembram sonhos. Para atingir os efeitos desejados, a MMIA chamou a produtora Troublemakers.tv com sede na Alemanha e Paris, e o diretor alemão Niko Tziopanos da wearfilnk. O resultado é um dos vídes mais belos que eu já vi, dando vida a  essa antiga aquarela chinesa.

One of the things that really amused me on this video was the fact that it wasn’t actually filmed. It was photographed, with a Nikon D90, and then edited on Premiere.

They used some light painting that we have been experimented together a few times before.

The end result was quite fantastic and entertaining. Congratulation guys!

How amazing this world can be! I just saw the National Geographic’s International Photography Contest 2009 at Big Picture. Those pictures makes me wanna leave this office right now, and get some wild place with my camera. It’s at least inspiring, lifewise.

Alien

This is the first part of a collection of very well designed movie posters. They were selected by their design and the value of the movie itself. I am hugely influenced by movie posters and we can notice how much the movie industry is investing more and more in posters recently. A few years ago, movies had just one or two posters to publicize the movie. Nowadays, as we can see in the Batman – The Dark Night campaign, they invested in a variety of posters, very well designed and appealing, by the way. I really wish I’d have so many walls to have them all at home.

I designed this cover for is the newest EP, Pure, released by PatchBay. He is already 11º on the Top 100 in Psy-Trance at Beatport.com, by the time of this post.

The concept of the cover is simple. He asked me if I could use some water on the cover to relate with te purity of the water, and the water god in India.

Since I’m not that high on my concepts, I searched for something more earth related to create the cover, but also keeping in mind my clients concept.

He is one of the best musicians I know. He dedicates all of his time to music, it’s unbelievable how much he likes to craft music, and the fun he has doing it. So I started to work on that concept: the pure fun and joy to do something. I remenbered a video I saw about dolphins having fun with ring bubbles, and I found that those dolphins were having their fun, in the most pure way.

That’s the story of this cover. A beautiful cover, in my opinion.
